The University of New Orleans currently hosts almost 800 international students, faculty, and staff from about 90 countries. The Office of International Students and Scholars provides comprehensive immigration advising, programming, and support services to all international students and faculty and their dependents. We work with faculty and administrators to build friendship agreements with foreign universities, and we assist international student organizations in planning activities such as International Night and cultural events.

REMINDER TO UNO FACULTY AND STAFF: INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE VISITORS, EMPLOYEES AND GUESTS ON CAMPUS
This is a reminder that all faculty and staff are expected to be familiar with and to comply with University of New Orleans policies and procedures regarding international employees and exchange visitors. Links to information on sponsoring J-1 exchange visitors and employees, hiring H-1B specialty occupation workers, as well as relevant UNO policies are available at http://oiss.uno.edu/departments.cfm .
Faculty and staff in the Colleges of Science and Engineering who wish to invite international visitors to campus must receive advance approval of the cognizant University officials, including the Department Chair, Dean, Empowered Official for Export Control, and Academic Affairs.
