Transfer Students

Students who are currently in the U.S. in F-1 or J-1 status must complete the Transfer Form and submit it to the Office of International Students & Scholars.  You must complete the top portion and your current international student advisor must complete the bottom portion of this form. The completed Transfer Form with signatures may be faxed to 504-280-3975 or scanned and e-mailed to oiss@uno.edu .

If you will be traveling outside the U.S. prior to your enrollment at the University of New Orleans (UNO), it will be necessary for you to re-enter with the I-20 or DS 2019 form that UNO will issue to you. If you do not plan to travel outside the U.S. prior to your enrollment, you may obtain your I-20 or DS 2019 form from the Office of International Students & Scholars during new student orientation.

All transfer students are required to complete immigration transfer procedures by checking in with the staff of the Office of International Students & Scholars (OISS) before the start of classes and no later than 15 days after the start of classes. This is an immigration service requirement and failure to comply may result in a violation of your immigration status.
